In what is set to be a first in Australia, Sydney Motorsport Park is ready to start building a $5million Indoor Motorcross Park.
The complex that will be nestled amongst Sydney Dragway, the International Motorsport Park and Karting Centre, will be fully enclosed and have 3 tracks designed by one of Australia’s best track builders. The three tracks will cater for riders of all skill levels, from beginners all the way up to professional riders wanting to push their limits. Spectators will be able to see the action from all 3 tracks in comfort in stadium styled seating for up to 6,000 people. Those wishing to grab a bite to eat or purchase/hire something at a retail store, all that will be available to them too. Riders have access to an in-house mechanic and storage facilities, and the best thing is, the whole centre is air-conditioned. Yes that’s right, soon you’ll now be able to watch, ride and enjoy MotoX in complete comfort without having to brave the elements.

The idea for the MotoX Park came from long time motocross rider and fan, Mattew Bartolo, who himself was frustrated at the lack of venues available in Sydney for his family to ride. “Sydney Indoor MotoX Park will give riders a facility to ride in at any time of day or night and in any weather conditions. Riders can bring their bike or hire one of our bikes and full safety equipment onsite” Bartolo says. We for one cannot wait for this world class facility to be finished in December this year to coincide with the 20 year anniversary of the Karting Complex.
