The 2018 Kennards Hire Rally Australia is done and dusted for another year. An exciting conclusion to one of the best WRC seasons ever. A championship only separated by 23 points between three drivers coming into the event was eventually won by the now 6 Time World Champion, Sebastien Ogier after three days of competition in the Coffs Harbour region. An event with many changing weather conditions from rain and mud to sunny and dusty, Coffs Harbour threw everything at the drivers to make it a hard fought victory.
The overall Drivers Championship points saw;
1st Sebastien Ogier – 219 (Ford)
2nd: Thierry Neuville – 201 (Hyundai)
3rd: Ott Tänak – 181 (Toyota)
In the constructors Championship Toyota were once again back up on the top step for the first time since 1999.
