He may have only managed to place third, however Under Suzuki is still one of the most iconic drivers of World Time Attack, and a real crowd favourite. Piloting the Scorch Racing S15 Silvia for the 6th time at this years event, Suzuki also embodies the Time Attack spirit.
Tomohiko ‘Under’ Suzuki hails from Japan, taking time year after to year to travel down under in order to chase those milliseconds that can mean the difference between records and defeat.
The Scorch Racing S15 is a carbon monster, the massive aero combining with its lightweight construction and big power to let Under wrestle it around the track in an 1:23.13. A time that just last year would have won the overall fastest time at WTAC. Teams and cars evolve quickly though, and this year it was only good enough for a third.
Speed Nation would like to congratulate Under Suzuki on his 3rd place this year. We hope to see him back in 2017 and wish him the best of luck in his search for that One Perfect Lap.
