The boys from Stuntz inc are never ones to leave a crowd disappointed… With a garage full of toys that would make a sultan jealous, These two new additions are set to bring the smiles to the faces of crowds all over Australia as they fry tyres at nearly all the V8SC rounds. Matt and Kent will be debuting both the Camaro and Mustang at Adelaide’s Clipsal 500 round. These cars were built in complete secret with Matt leaving fans guessing along the way realseing bits and peices of the build over social media. Team Dragphotos.com.au was lucky enough to be invited to get behind the scenes as the boys had their final shakedown at Queensland Raceway.
The idea behind building and using these cars was to bring a american element to the Australian drift scene, This is everdent with the Mustang still retaining left hand drive and running a supercharged 5L C0yote engine with just over 750hp with the Camaro on the other hand running a fully built Nascar V8 pumping out 850hp and pushing that through a albins sequential gearbox.
Although Matt has been preforming for years under different sponsors, Its the semi new pairing of Stuntz Inc and Hotwheels that has pushed them to a new level of fame with the newest generation of fans, With Matt telling us its nearly impossible to tow the cars anywhere without people taking photos and kids asking for the die cast equivalent…
With the two different livery designs it shouldn’t be hard to tell Kent and Matt apart on track.
With this being one of the most extensive drift builds Australia has ever seen it will be interesting to follow the development of these cars.. But given the success they had in the shakedown and the proximity and consistency over the day the builds seem like a massive step in the right direction for the pair.
